System Accountant - UK (London)

The Role

We are looking for a Financial Accountant to join our UK finance team. Reporting to the UK Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the day-to-day finance activities of Sonnedix Group's primary UK operating entity. This role involves ensuring compliance with key financial controls, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting, and supporting external reporting requirements. Key responsibilities include managing Procure to Pay and Record to Report processes, overseeing monthly balance sheet reconciliations, preparing VAT returns, and ensuring a smooth year-end close process. You will also liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and tax advisors, to maintain financial integrity and drive process improvements.

Desirable Skills:

• Qualified accountant with a strong understanding of IFRS & UKGAAP (FRS101)
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with SAP S4/HANA (preferred)
• Strong financial control knowledge, covering Procure to Pay and Record to Report processes
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage workload independently
