Job Description

Sustainable Capital Markets Associate

  • The role within the Sustainable Capital Markets team focuses on the origination of Sustainable Finance (SF) transactions, including Green, Social, Sustainability, and Sustainability-Linked finance.
  • The AVP will assist in supporting the development of new syndicated financing products for the bank, increasing product offerings and revenue.
  • Attend external client meetings with senior colleagues to assist in presenting financial proposals.
  • Develop marketing materials, pitch decks, and reports to promote the team's activities.
  • Assist with preparing SF information packages for syndication.
  • Support the coordination and management of the SF syndication process throughout the project cycle.
  • Contribute to pricing and structuring terms for SF deals, ensuring market competitiveness and client needs are met.
  • Conduct research on borrowers, markets, and lenders using Bloomberg, Dealogic, and other tools.

The Successful Applicant

  • Strong understanding of sustainable finance, credit, and financial analysis, ideally gained in a commercial bank, lender, or corporate finance group of an international organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of Debt Capital Markets (DCM) and Loan Capital Markets (LCM) products.
  • Familiarity with SF standards and regulatory frameworks, such as LMA, ICMA Principles, UN SDGs, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, and other ESG regulations.
  • Knowledge of ESG rating agencies like Sustainalytics, Moody's ESG Solutions, ISS ESG, MSCI, and S&P.
  • Networking skills and the ability to manage transactions through completion.
  • A relevant university degree or equivalent experience.
  • Ideally, proficiency in a major international language in addition to English.
