Our dynamic sustainability team is looking for a new Sustainability Project & Programme Manager to help us deliver practical projects, to remove fossil fuel heating systems and deliver net zero alternatives.
You’ll be taking a lead in working with external stakeholders and colleagues from across the organisation, delivering key sustainability building and estate programmes to deliver packages of energy efficiency, renewable energy and associated activities to reach our carbon reduction goals.
No two days will be the same in this role, so enthusiasm, a can-do attitude, and a genuine will to go the extra mile is essential.
We are looking for someone with excellent project management skills and demonstrable experience in construction, building management or retrofit and/or a background in heating and/or lighting systems.
It is key that the successful candidate should have an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities arising from the transition to Net Zero, along with the experience of identifying and implementing innovative solutions with demonstrable evidence of the use of new technologies linked to lowering energy usage and actual carbon reductions.
We need someone with the confidence and assertiveness to engage across the whole spectrum of sustainability elements, be able to manage difficult conversations, and have excellent people skills to resolve any practical issues to enable success.
