We are looking for an ambitious and driven Sustainability Engagement Officer to join our team! If you want to progress and develop your career, Go Green will provide the platform and support whilst developing your skills and offering all the necessary training to achieve your goals.

This role is to deliver against social and environmental targets as set out in our Company GROWW Sustainability strategy. Go Green have set ambitious carbon reduction targets, and we are looking for someone who is passionate about representing environmental sustainability and can live and breathe our values in the work they carry out. Reporting to the Social Value Manager, you will be responsible for planning, carrying out, and reporting on environmental and social value activities with both internal and external stakeholders. Working closely with our clients, the ideal candidate will be confident in communicating with stakeholders across the business and value chain and already have some understanding of global sustainability objectives.

The role will be based in our Head Office in Doncaster with the opportunity for hybrid working on completion of training.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Monitoring the delivery of our social and environmental commitments
  2. Setting up and attending social value events.
  3. Working alongside the marketing team to ensure we effectively communicate our sustainability achievements.
  4. Creating and rolling out staff training applicable to social sustainability.
  5. Overseeing Go Green's team of Social Value Committee & Climate Change Committee
  6. Engaging with educational settings to teach them about the industry.
  7. Working alongside the human resources department to host employee wellbeing events.
  8. Working alongside the Business Development team to support social value delivery in tender submissions.
  9. Confidently work alongside and present to our clients.
  10. Travelling to client sites to deliver social value initiatives.

Essential Attributes:

  1. Be able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  2. High-level of organisation to be able to manage various workloads
  3. Be comfortable representing the business outside of the office in various settings

As community engagement is a fundamental part of delivering social value, holding a full driving license is essential for the role.
