Principal or Associate Sustainability Energy Consultant

An exceptional career opportunity awaits a dynamic and innovative Principal or Associate Sustainability Energy Consultant with an award-winning engineering consultancy and a leader in sustainable development, delivering impactful solutions across sectors.

As a Sustainability Energy Consultant, you will be part of a collaborative team of engineers, designers, and technical specialists dedicated to creating cutting-edge solutions for complex design and engineering projects.

This is a hybrid role, working 3 days in the office and can be based in either Bournemouth or Reading.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead large-scale projects for high-profile clients, managing project teams and resource allocation
2. Conduct workshops with the client and designers, presenting information clearly and effectively
3. Perform various sustainability assessments, including carbon modeling, building performance and energy strategies
4. Oversee environmental assessments (BREEAM, WELL, HQM, etc.), ensuring progress towards net-zero carbon objectives from design to completion
5. Collaborate on research and development initiatives to remain at the forefront of industry sustainability trends and best practices
6. Guide junior team members, delegate tasks effectively and provide constructive feedback

Key Experience:

1. Experience within a sustainability or engineering consultancy
2. A relevant degree in a sustainability-related field or engineering
3. Strong communication skills and a passion for teamwork in a collaborative environment
4. Experience with dynamic modelling for thermal comfort and overheating risk assessments
5. Proficient with producing and supporting planning submissions for sustainability initiatives
