Survey Workshop Supervisor (Onshore)

Job Description

Survey Workshop Supervisor (Onshore) Permanent Staff role with Leading EPC Engineering Energy Company. Aberdeen Area.

MUST have right to work in the United Kingdom

Responsible for the inspection and maintenance of survey and positioning equipment, and logistical related aspects.

The right candidate will require to have the correct knowledge and experience to assist in the design, procurement and build of the workshop.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary:

1. Co-ordinating a team of engineers in the workshop, creating schedules to execute the daily workload in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
2. Ensure workshop engineers test, maintain, and prepare Asset equipment for projects in line with department QA/QC procedures.
3. Produce reports, QA/QC Procedures, manual and any other related technical documentation pertaining to the operation and support of survey equipment.
4. Responsible for all survey equipment, inventories, availability, inspections, repairs, calibrations, and maintenance & compliance, including all relevant documentation.
5. Ensure that maintenance standards are being executed within the department standards, manufacturer recommendations, regulatory requirements and periodic certifications.

Secondary:

1. Liaise with suppliers to repair damage or faulty equipment in house, or to arrange out of house repairs and following of process.
2. Update records of equipment maintenance, services, calibration, failure & repairs, and close out fault reports submitted from the offshore teams.
3. Responsible for the receiving, offloading, and storage of Asset equipment.
4. Responsible to ensure equipment is suitable packed for shipment (to or from the workshop), to safeguard the serviceability.
5. Assist Support Engineers as required in equipment selection, and Asset availability, as required in support of project requirements.
6. Provide technical assistance, support and advise to offshore survey teams for all equipment matters and liaise with equipment suppliers to resolve technical issues.
7. If required, assist vessel mobilisations and demobilisations by liaising with the support team, utilising internal documents as reference.
8. Responsible to ensure received orders are checked in to warehouse and register all new equipment into the department Asset Tracking System.
9. Maintains inventory and stock levels of all equipment and consumables.
10. Contribute to Survey equipment technical updates, bulletins etc.
11. Maintain necessary tools and equipment required to execute survey equipment maintenance and repair.
12. Working according to the department QA/QC procedures, standards and specifications and contribute to their improvement.
13. Actively partake in research and development of internally designed solutions to meet project requirements.
14. Assist Warehouse as required on receipt of third party hired survey equipment.

Experience/qualifications:

Required:

1. Experience in an onshore workshop environment, inspecting, testing and maintaining survey equipment for energy projects.
2. Experience in the installation and interfacing of survey equipment and sensors.
3. College/University education and/or industry training in survey related electronic engineering.
4. Experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings (both electronic and mechanical).
5. Experience in Microsoft Office.
