We are seeking a Survey Crew Chief to join our growing team. In this role, you will lead field operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and accuracy in every project.

Responsibilities:

• Lead field crews in Boundary & Topographic Surveys, Construction Layout, As-Built Surveys, Route Surveys, Bathymetric Surveys, and more
• Utilize advanced surveying equipment, including Trimble total stations, GPS units, and laser scanners
• Establish control networks, recover boundary monumentation, and conduct site calibrations
• Maintain accurate field notes, sketches, and data logs, ensuring quality control
• Train and mentor team members to develop their technical skills
• Maintain company vehicles and survey equipment, ensuring proper use and care
• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying risks, conducting safety meetings, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of field experience, with at least 2 years in a Survey Crew/Party Chief role
• Proficiency with Trimble GPS (Static and RTK), Trimble Access, and total stations
• Experience with (or willingness to learn) Trimble laser scanners
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. and navigate challenging terrain as needed
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record

Work Environment & Travel:

• Travel to field project sites as needed (75-100%)
• Requires physical effort, including lifting, carrying, and working in various field conditions
