Founded in 1795, Norwood is the oldest Jewish charity in the UK, and has been privileged to receive Royal Patronage since 1815. We support and empower neurodiverse children and their families and people with neurodevelopmental disabilities to live their best lives.
Norwood works with local authorities to deliver wide-ranging services including residential and supported living accommodation and short-breaks facilities, as well as a range of support groups aimed at the whole family, not just the individual.

The Green is a single level ground floor home. It consists of 13 self-contained flats surrounding a luscious green outdoor area. Inside is a central hub which includes a kitchen, lounge, dining area, laundry facilities and 2 television areas. This building also houses the offices for the manager and staff.
The Green staff support 11 friendly and social residents with a wide range of interests. This includes volunteering at our on-site stables, going shopping, walking around Ravenswood village, pop music, cycling, music, TV, and films. The people we support communicate verbally, at different levels. Makaton, PECS and objects of reference are also used by some of the residents.
