Care Team Leader - £15.65 - £17.51 per hour

We are looking for a dedicated Team Leader to provide high-quality care and support for a 15-year-old girl with a brain injury and complex needs in her home and the community.

One of our clients is now looking to directly employ a Care Team Leader to work in the family setting near Ryde.

The Role

As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in supporting her daily routine, therapy programmes, and social engagement, while also managing and guiding a small care team.

Key Responsibilities

1. To make a meaningful difference in a young person’s life.
2. Providing specialist care and support, tailored to our client’s needs.
3. Assisting with daily activities, personal care, and therapy programmes.
4. Leading in coordinating a small team of carers, ensuring high quality of care.
5. Working closely with the family and healthcare professionals.
6. Administering medication.
7. Monitoring and updating care plans, ensuring all needs are met effectively.
8. Maintaining clear records and reporting changes in the client’s condition.

About You

1. Experience in supporting children/young people with complex needs.
2. Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach to care.
3. Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide a team.
4. Experienced in administrative care tasks - Risk assessment, Care plan management.
5. Experience in balancing client care needs with the requirements of a professional staff team in an intimate family setting.

Due to personal care requirements, there is an occupational requirement to recruit female staff.

Ideally, you’ll have a full, clean driving licence, but this isn’t essential.

This is a full-time role, delivering around 36 hours of care per week, with additional administrative duties as the role evolves.

Shift pattern includes two weekend shifts (09:00 - 20:00) and up to six weekday shifts (13:30 - 20:00) per fortnight. More hours may be available during school holidays.
