£23,150.16 pro rata per year
Full time posts are 37 - 40 hours per week.
Part time posts are 30 hours per week.
Waking Nights posts are an average of 35 hours per week.
Ark Buckie provides support to 19 supported people to live independently in their own homes. Support ranges from 16 hours a week to 24-hour support. Due to the nature of support we provide, shift patterns are variable to meet the needs of the individual. We support a wide range of ages from 18 - 70+. Support varies based on the individuals' needs and wishes, which could include personal care, medication and finances, meal preparation, support to appointments, household tasks, or accessing the community.
Our supported people enjoy a variety of activities such as going out for lunch, bowling, trampolining, swimming, darts, football, snooker, spending time with their families, and going on holidays. An increasing number of our supported people have mobility cars, which widens opportunities for activities in the community. We strive to make goals happen for people, which could involve exploring courses to support employability or trying new activities. Our supported people love to be part of the community and have organized regular events such as discos and BBQs where they can invite friends and family to gather.
Please note that this role includes Sleepover shifts, with 7am shift starts and 10pm shift finish times.
As this service supports people with complex needs, all our Support Worker roles involve personal care and giving medication in line with the Support Plan.
*A sleepover shift consists of working during the day, having a rest period while sleeping over in the service between 11pm - 7am, and then working again the next day. Sleepover shifts are typically 3pm - 3pm or 10am - 10am. The sleepover period is over and above your contracted hours and is paid as an additional payment of £96.00 per sleepover.
**On waking nights, you will work 3 nights on and 3 nights off. One week you will work 40 hours (Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday). The other week you will work 30 hours (Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday night).
