Support Worker
Location: Sherburn, County Durham
Salary: GBP21,840 per annum (pro rata) based on 35 hours per week plus excellent benefits Inc. GBP500 Onboarding payment
Contract: Full Time, Permanent
Driver: Clean driving licence, Essential

Oaklea's Supported Living Project in Spennymoor provides care and support to people with learning disabilities. In your role, you will support customers with a wide variety of needs and aspirations and work with our organisational values as we strive to encourage independence.

About the Role:
You will be required to support male and female adults in their home who require support with personal care, meal preparation, accessing their local community and support with hobbies and appointments. Therefore, the applicant must be able to drive and have a clean licence.

You will be required to work closely with a small team. You must be confident in communicating with people who may have challenges communicating with you. Working hours will include days, nights and weekends; examples of support sessions are: (8am-10.00pm/ 8.00am-3.00pm/ 3.00pm-10.00pm/ 9.30pm-8.00am)

You do not need to be experienced, but it is essential that you share our values. You must have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of people with a learning disability. We will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Oaklea, T&Cs apply).
