We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential assistance to individuals in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and home care environments. This role is vital in ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of care and support tailored to their individual needs.
Duties
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Provide meal preparation and ensure clients receive nutritious meals according to their dietary requirements.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Administer first aid when necessary and monitor clients' health conditions.
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required.
- Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes in their condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
- Engage in light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
Skills
- Experience in nursing homes or home care settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and patient care techniques.
- Ability to prepare meals that cater to specific dietary needs.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare staff.
- A caring and empathetic nature with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for others.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
- Previous experience in childcare or assisted living environments is an advantage.
