Job description

Kingston upon Thames, Long Ditton, Surbiton, Greater London, England
KT5

Be part of making lives better as a Support Worker at Ewell Road in Surbiton and experience what delivering great healthcare should feel like.

Use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to make a positive difference to the lives of people with Learning Disabilities and Autism.

You'll be looked after, with a fulfilling career where you're valued, recognised, and supported, with colleagues there for you and a culture built on kindness and teamwork.

There's also a range of training and development options available to help you achieve your career aspirations, allowing you to grow and succeed as a Support Worker and beyond.
What you will be doing

You will join an inclusive and supportive team that works well together to provide care to people with Learning Disabilities and Autism, using your knowledge and skills to help people along their recovery pathway towards leading a valued and fulfilled life.

Your day-to-day will include ward rounds, analysing behaviours and adapting care accordingly with colleagues, updating patient records, and providing overall care and support, which may include assisting with personal hygiene.

It can be quite a challenging environment at times, so a positive attitude, compassion, resilience, and vigilance are important. But it is hugely rewarding to see people improve because of your involvement, knowing that you've made someone's life better.

The shift patterns include working weekends on a rota basis, 7.5 hours a day, 4-5 days a week between the hours of 7am and 10 pm.

We are actively encouraging male candidates who drive to apply for this opportunity at our specialist residential service in Surbiton. This is to accommodate the needs of our service users in the most efficient manner.

You must hold a clean and full UK driving licence as you will be responsible for driving staff and service users to the local destinations to support with the care plans.
