Support and Integration Officer

The Organisation

Our client supports refugees and migrants to integrate into the UK and lead self-sufficient and ambitious lives. They use a diverse team to provide tailored integration services and their mission goes beyond individual support to actively challenge and disrupt the systems that perpetuate inequalities.


They are now looking for a Support and Integration Officer to join them on a full-time, permanent basis, working 37.5 hours per week.

The Role

As a Support and Integration Officer, you will provide quality advice, guidance, and practical support to refugees and migrants to help them successfully integrate into life in the UK.

Working closely with individuals, you will assess their needs, create personalised support plans, and offer assistance in key areas such as housing, finance, education, employment, health and immigration.

Additionally, you will:

  • Support clients with budgeting, building social networks, advocacy, and training
  • Make referrals to internal and external services
  • Organise and attend group trips to local places of interest for tenants
  • Build partnerships with external organisations to promote opportunities for refugees
  • Organise house meetings and visit tenants both in their homes and in the community


About You

To be considered as a Support and Integration Officer, you will need:

  • Experience working with asylum seekers or refugees
  • Experience providing advice, guidance, advocacy, and culturally sensitive support
  • Experience conducting needs assessments and creating support plans
  • Experience and knowledge of working with people with complex/multiple support needs
  • Knowledge of safeguarding principles when working with vulnerable adults

Due to the nature of this post, an enhanced DBS check will be undertaken for successful applicants, but only with their prior consent.
