Job Title: Supply Teacher for Primary
Location: Wimborne, Dorset
Salary: £93 - £140 per day (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Easter 2025/September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time (Permanent) - Part-time can also be arranged for the right candidate

GSL Education are seeking a versatile and enthusiastic Supply Teacher for Primary to join a primary school in Wimborne. This role is perfect for skilled educators looking for flexible teaching opportunities, whether full-time or part-time, with the ability to engage, motivate, and support students in their learning journey.

Responsibilities of Supply Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and structured lessons across a range of primary subjects.
  • Adapt to different classroom environments and ensure a smooth transition for students.
  • Follow pre-prepared lesson plans while also using initiative to maintain high-quality learning experiences.
  • Establish and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere, promoting student engagement and respect.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Provide feedback to students and staff regarding lesson progress and student engagement.
  • Work collaboratively with school staff and leadership teams to support student development.

The successful candidate will:

  • Have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching at the primary level, preferably across multiple subjects.
  • Strong classroom management and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to different learning environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
  • A commitment to ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
