Supply Planner (Fixed Term Contract)

6 month Fixed Term Contract

Didsbury, South Manchester

About the team! You’ll join our busy planning team who sit within our Supply Chain function, which is at the hub of our international business model.

About the job! Your remit is to maximise short term availability of our all products to UK customers through management of orders raised. Your ability to transform customer demand into a solid order plan. Your work will be accurate, methodical and actioned in a timely manner. Key responsibilities include:

  • Raising and managing inbound purchase orders based on current and forecasted stock levels and future demand in line with the agreed timeframes.
  • Managing a core number of SKUs in detail, for the short term supply of stock, planning up to 3 months ahead, to achieve maximum availability.
  • Working closely with our partner bakeries to understand supply opportunities and constraints, and finding solutions to any issues – flagging consistent performance related issues to the relevant teams.
  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels at all Warehouses to an agreed ideal seasonal stockholding – including transfers of stock between warehouses.
  • Reacting to changes in demand, flagging overstocks or shortages to the wider team.
  • Working in collaboration with the Logistics team to ensure full visibility of future order patterns and volumes is provided.
  • Managing new product launch stocks and discontinuations to ensure no shortages or write off.
  • Flagging irregularities and inconsistencies in customer ordering volumes to the Forecast Analyst to review.
  • Communicating supply issues or overstocks to the commercial team and Forecast Analyst.
  • Targeting 100% fulfilment rate with a maximum of 2% shortage due to planning issues.

About you! You’ll have experience in a planning background, ideally in the FMCG sector. You might be from a retailer background where you will bring great customer insight, or maybe a manufacturer; we’re open-minded and keen to explore if you have the following skills:

  • Excellent demonstrable experience in Supply Planning.
  • Highly numerate & analytical.
  • Proficient Excel Skills.
  • Organised with a pragmatic approach.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Able to prioritise & allocate time effectively.
  • Excellent team player.
