TITLE: Procurement Manager – Purchasing & Supply Chain Management

SALARY: £60,000 Plus Car or Allowance & Bonus

LOCATION: Remote with travel to suppliers and head office. Role covers the UK and you may be located anywhere in England.

ROLE OVERVIEW:
As a Procurement Manager, you’ll play a key role in managing supplier relationships and optimizing purchasing processes for a top-tier waste management and recycling organization. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing existing waste service providers, monitoring their performance, ensuring competitive pricing, and verifying compliance.
2. Sourcing new suppliers and negotiating cost-effective agreements.
3. Overseeing subcontractors’ implementation and delivery of new services and contracts.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideally qualified with CIPS Level 3+ or a degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
Proven experience in procuring operational services (see examples below).
Waste management or recycling sector experience is essential.
Valid UK Driving Licence required.

Background in roles such as Procurement Manager, Purchasing Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Waste Broker, or Supplier Manager.

SERVICES YOU MAY HAVE PROCURED:
Recycling, Total Waste Management, Washroom Services, Facilities Management, Waste Brokerage, Hard/Soft Services, Clinical Waste, Construction Waste, Plant Hire, Secure Destruction, Industrial Services, or similar operational services.
