Job description

Looking for an office based, long-term temporary contract role as an office administrator?

If so, we have an ideal opportunity covering a 12-month maternity leave within the small friendly office team of a manufacturing and logistics company.

This is a varied part-time role working to support both the Sales Administration and Import and Export paperwork.

  • The working week is 4 days Monday - Thursday 8am - 4:30pm with a half-hour unpaid lunch.
  • Although some flexibility to 3 days or shorter hours is open for discussion.
  • In addition to your basic salary, there is an end of contract bonus of up to £2000!

Key Duties will include:

  • Inputting Purchase and Sales orders onto the system.
  • Checking import shipping documents and monitoring shipping progress, alongside monitoring deliveries from UK based suppliers.
  • Liaising with Customs Clearing and Shipping Agents to organise customs clearance and delivery of imports.
  • Keeping internal and suppliers' Certificates and Accreditations files up to date (e.g., sending samples for FR testing, monitoring updates to REACH regulations, chasing suppliers for current accreditations).
  • General ad hoc duties (e.g., franking post, filing).
