Are you an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a background in working directly with mills? Our client, a leading steel distribution business, is seeking a proactive and commercially driven individual to manage and optimise their supply chain operations.

As a Supply Chain Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing procurement, supplier relationships, and inventory management while ensuring seamless coordination with mills to maintain efficiency and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Managing the end-to-end supply chain, working directly with mills to secure the best pricing and availability.
2. Negotiating supplier contracts to drive cost savings and efficiency improvements.
3. Monitoring and analysing market trends to identify risks and opportunities.
4. Overseeing stock control, logistics, and procurement processes.
5. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
6. Utilizing SAP for supply chain planning, inventory management, and reporting.

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in supply chain management.
2. Experience in purchasing stainless steel materials.
3. Strong knowledge of working directly with mills and managing supplier relationships.
4. Experience using SAP for procurement, inventory, or supply chain functions.
5. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
6. A results-driven mindset with a strategic approach to supply chain management.

Package Details:

1. Competitive salary (negotiable depending on experience).
2. Annual discretionary bonus.
3. Monday to Thursday: 08:00 / Friday: 08:30.
4. Option to work from home on Fridays.
5. 25 days annual leave + Bank Holidays.
