Quick Staff UK is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise our client’s supply chain operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, distribution, and logistics. You will collaborate closely with various departments to ensure efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high service levels to support business growth and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that align with the company’s objectives and market demands.
Procurement Management: Lead sourcing and procurement activities to ensure the timely availability of materials and services at the best possible cost.
Inventory Control: Oversee inventory management to optimise stock levels, reduce excess inventory, and minimise shortages.
Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance metrics are met and conducting regular evaluations.
Logistics and Distribution: Manage transportation, warehousing, and distribution networks to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure business continuity.
Data and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), generate reports, and analyze data to drive continuous improvements in supply chain operations.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, production, finance, and customer service teams to forecast demand, align production schedules, and meet customer expectations.
Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with industry regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
Key Requirements:
A qualification in Supply Chain Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in FMCG.
Proven experience in procurement, logistics, and inventory management.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop teams.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
