Job description

The Supply-Chain Specialist will prioritize operations to ensure maximum production performance and reduced delays. This individual will coordinate production and material workflow to leverage standard processes and methods, as well as automation and data analytics, to improve production throughput, waste reduction and delivery performance.

This position will partner with the local Operations team and Supply-Chain Manager to develop and maintain standards and improve operational results, being the local orchestrator of production and material priorities.

They will manage the material movements through our 3PL Partner and UK facility, working closely with production supervisors, purchasing, and shipping/receiving staff.

This includes providing guidance to ensure that plant operations meet production rates and delivery dates.

Responsibilities:
  1. Champion and promote a strong safety culture - Perform all duties in accordance with safety guidelines.
  2. Coordinate and optimize logistics processes between UK site and 3PL.
  3. Communicate with internal stakeholders regarding daily business issues.
  4. Monitor inventory levels, provide forecasts and respond to changes in demand.
  5. Identify, arrange and monitor all material movements in and out of 3PL.
  6. Ensure all required documentation is in place for material in and out of 3PL.
  7. Handle claims and complaints, escalating issues when necessary.
  8. Measure and optimize all agreed KPIs.
  9. Analyze order booking, item level forecast, equipment capacity, and material availability. Provide cover in other Supply Chain Specialist areas.
  10. Prioritize operations to ensure maximum production throughput, reduced scrap, downtime and delays.
  11. Analyze and report item level inventory, lead time and delivery performance.
  12. Stay current and implement best practices for supply chain systems and methods.
  13. Ensure material supply meets production requirements efficiently.
  14. Drive reduced stocks and disposition of excess and obsolete materials.
  15. Other assignments as directed by the Supply-Chain Manager or the International Operations Director.
