At Vantive we are seeking an experienced Network Planner to join the team for a 9 month contract.
Summary
The Global Network Planner is responsible for balancing and optimizing supply planning to meet demand. The Network Planner serves as the link between the commercial team (at a country level where the plant sits) and SIOP by collaborating with demand planning, plant leadership, and business units. This includes defining and implementing supply planning processes, determining priorities, including creation of MRP for sourcing of materials, MPS, driving process improvements, and leading supply review. Coordinate IPSO/OEM customer orders and requirements through manufacturing and distribution. Develop, monitor, track, and analyze Supply Chain KPI’s.
What you will be doing
- Formulating & Communicating short to mid-term tactical plans that balance supply & demand
- Proactively managing supply chain risks e.g. low cover and escalate issues where appropriate
- Aligning transfer orders to demand and send to ERP &/or local shipping system for execution
- Reviewing transfer order exceptions and cancel, decrease or postpone orders if necessary
- Applying scenario planning & collaboration, leveraging Rapid Response functionality and tools
- Collaborating with Plant Schedulers, Demand planners, W&D, Cluster fulfilment, Commercial & Manufacturing to resolve supply risks & issues.
- Leading OPLAN review with key stakeholders e.g. Plant management
- Supporting the Network manager with regional and/or Global SI&OP input.
- Monitoring supply chain performance, review & approve planning parameters and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Being accountable for achieving Inventory targets
- Providing input to Financial planning and forecasting processes
Who are we looking for
- Experience person in supply chain management - warehousing, distribution, logistics, transportation, customer service or inventory planning would be preferred
- Minimum 3yrs Supply Chain Experience in similar scal supply chain role
- Proficient technical skills, experience with RapidResponse or other relevant planning systems would be beneficial
- Proven stakeholder management skills (including influencing, communication negotiating and conflict management) and experience in a geographically diverse, matrix organization
- Basic Project management skill and lean/continuous improvement.
- Procurement planning: in-depth understanding of how to control inventory levels based on Re-Order Point/Lead Time/safety stock
- Demand planning
- Sales and operations planning
- Strong leadership skills including leading projects with broad scope and impact outside own department & promotes teamwork between departments
- Understanding of all aspects of the financial impact of supply chain activity including profitability, turns, service level & inventory control
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain preferable
- APICS certification preferred
