Job Description
Our client, a global manufacturing business located in Cambridgeshire, is recruiting a Supply Chain Director to co-ordinate activities across the European region.
The focus of this role is to deliver strategic Supply Chain change across planning, process integration, scheduling, inventory, logistics, and service management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Defining, developing, communicating, and executing supply chain strategies
- Leading multi-functional teams to support supply chain objectives
- Coordinating supply, manufacturing, and delivery systems
- Developing logistics and distribution strategies to ensure customer needs are met
- Management of Supply Chain and Logistics management policies and procedures
- Accountability for the Sales and Operations Planning and Scheduling process
- Oversight of supply planning and ensuring demand is met
- Implementing robust best practices through active participation in the SIOP process
This role is pivotal in translating the business plans into actionable tasks for delivery throughout the supply chain. Effective delivery of an efficient, customer-centric supply chain requires active management of relationships with a wide cross-section of functions across the business, including:

- Sourcing
- Operations and Production Management
- Product Management
- New Product Introduction
Experience Required:
- Preferably educated to degree level in Supply Management, Logistics Management, Materials Management, Engineering, or a similar related field.
- APICS qualification would be beneficial.
- Solid experience in a complex, in-house manufacturing setting essential across multiple global manufacturing sites, automotive, aerospace, chemical, or similar industry.
- Strong leadership experience at a relevant level within Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics within a vertically integrated or equally complex manufacturing environment.
- Operations Management experience desirable.
- Exceptional people and organisational skills with a proven ability to influence across a matrix organisation.
- Strong IT skills.
- Successful in delivering continuous improvement disciplines across multiple manufacturing sites.
- Analytical thinking in conjunction with the ability to solve complex data-driven issues.
- Willing to travel according to business needs - around 25 / 30% of the time.
Package:
£Excellent basic salary with bonus, car allowance, pension scheme, private medical insurance, and 25 days holidays in addition to bank holidays.
