Supply Chain Coordinator

Job Overview

The Supply Chain Coordinator at Langdon will play a crucial role in managing the flow of goods and information throughout our operations in London. This position involves coordinating logistics, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring that all aspects of the supply chain align with our commitment to quality and reliability. The ideal candidate will leverage their educational background in supply chain or food-related fields to enhance our operational efficiency and contribute to our overarching goal of delivering exceptional ingredients to our clients.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and manage end-to-end supply chain processes, including sourcing and logistics.
  2. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients to meet the needs of manufacturing partners.
  3. Maintain relationships with suppliers and oversee contract negotiations and compliance.
  4. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies to optimise stock management.
  5. Collaborate with food technicians and product development teams to understand ingredient requirements and availability.
  6. Utilise data analysis to forecast demand trends and improve order accuracy.
  7. Assist in quality control processes to ensure all incoming and outgoing products meet our stringent standards.
  8. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance overall supply chain efficiency.

Skills

  1. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data management tools.
  2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with suppliers and team members.
  3. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  4. Problem-solving capabilities to address supply chain disruptions and implement solutions.
  5. Proficiency in supply chain management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  6. Understanding of food industry regulations and quality control standards.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or a related field.
  2. Prior experience in supply chain coordination or logistics, preferably within the food industry.
  3. Knowledge of inventory management practices and supply chain optimisation techniques.
  4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
  5. Familiarity with international sourcing and import/export regulations is a plus.
