AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we're the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We are currently seeking a sourcing and procurement professional to join our Data Centre Services Procurement group, specifically the EMEA Supplier Sourcing and Management Team. This role will focus on working with customers, identifying and onboarding construction services, substation long lead equipment, colocation services and real estate vendors across all EMEA regions where required to add additional capacity to meet demand.
You will take ownership of creating region sourcing plans, existing region management and reviews and then quickly delivering results that enable internal teams to meet tight schedules. Driving a focus in construction supplier sourcing of quality, innovative Sustainability focused suppliers and on Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance, it will be critical that you identify new ways to forge partnerships with new suppliers, evaluate new and established suppliers' performance against clearly defined metrics, and balance priorities of both Amazon and our suppliers to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
Ability to travel on short notice is key for this role.

About the team
The EMEA DCSP team supports the procurement of mission critical construction services supporting the construction of AWS datacentres and power projects across the region. The team delivers through driving efficiency, value, capacity and sustainability for the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years' Supplier Sourcing experience which includes sourcing, onboarding and contracting suppliers in multiple countries.
- Construction sourcing/procurement activity.
- Demonstrated experience in lean methodologies with project management skills.
- Proven experience leading cost savings initiatives and communicating cost savings achievements.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent combination of education and experience or an advanced degree (JD, MBA, International Business).
- Experience executing business transactions in multiple countries.
- PMP, Six Sigma or similar certification. Demonstrated success in a metrics-oriented environment and an ability to create, track, and report out on metrics.
- Experience supporting data centre construction procurement or data centre operations procurement.
