A Supplier Relationship Manager plays a pivotal role in managing and developing strategic relationships with key suppliers in the public sector procurement and supply chain department. Description

As a Supplier Relationship Manager / Contract Manager you will partner with the business to oversee IT supplier service contracts, ensuring continued high levels of value and quality in service delivery and compliance.

  1. Manage and develop strategic supplier relationships in the public sector.
  2. Lead cost-saving initiatives across procurement and supply chain operations.
  3. Drive performance improvement of suppliers by setting and monitoring key performance indicators.
  4. Identify and manage supply chain risks.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives.
  6. Implement supplier management plans based on strategic sourcing strategies.
  7. Conduct supplier audits to ensure compliance with company standards.
  8. Support the development of procurement policies and procedures.

Profile

A successful Supplier Relationship Manager should have:

  1. Previous experience within procurement (solid understanding of end-to-end procurement) with a focus on contract management.
  2. Proficiency in supplier relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and negotiations.
  3. Knowledge of procurement principles and processes in the public sector, although candidates from the private sector will also be considered.
  4. Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  5. The ability to analyse and interpret complex data and present findings.
  6. Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards.
