Job description

Our premium brand Automotive client is currently recruiting for the following role:

Supplier Quality Management Engineer - 34/hr (Inside IR35) - Midlands/Hybrid - 12 Months (potential for yearly renewal)

Position Description:
Supplier Quality Management Engineering focuses on planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements.

Responsibilities:

  1. Verifying and validating that suppliers and/or subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements
  2. Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities
  3. Ensuring programs are in place to improve supplier performance and productivity
  4. Reviewing and analysing corrective action reports to reduce/eliminate defects. May perform deviation investigations into quality issues.

Skills/Experience required:
  1. Ideally degree educated or significant relevant automotive engineering experience
  2. Must have prior experience within an Automotive Supplier Quality role
  3. Must be able to travel to client and supplier locations, mainly in the Midlands area.

Additional Information:
  1. Position will be Warwickshire or Coventry based with hybrid potential
  2. More than 50% of the time working in supplier sites, some home working can be included but primarily it will be either supplier visit or client site.
  3. Applicants must have a valid driving license and willing to travel within the UK, mostly around the Midlands.
