Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Subsurface Document/IM Lead – STAFF, based in Aberdeen.
Our ideal candidate will currently be sitting at senior/supervisory level or feel ready to move to the next step of supervising a team. A good working understanding of G&G/geoscience is essential, and experience in IM/Documentation is preferred. You will hold project management accreditation, be comfortable reporting to the senior management team, and overseeing a team of approximately 7 people.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is a leadership role within the Information Management Department, reporting to the Information Centre Team Leader. Responsibilities include:
- Leading the Management of Well Information Project.
- Managing the subsurface data management team.
- Supporting regulatory compliance and continuous improvement initiatives in support of IM best practices.
- Ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures under the guidance of the Information Centre Team Leader.
- Accountability for the successful delivery of the Management of Well Information Project and all IM services for G&G activities.
- Joint accountability for the success of all International Division G&G and DCWS projects and activities.
- Leading projects through IM best practice processes, including annual budgeting, effective cost reporting, quality management, risk management, overall project planning & milestones, scenario planning, compiling resource profiles, agreeing on project objectives and metrics, maintaining robust management of change, and ensuring effective evaluation phases are conducted for learning.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Project Management Qualification or working towards accreditation with a recognised body (e.g., APM or PMI).
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, complex multi-year projects and scopes of work.
- Demonstrated knowledge in areas of IM and Subsurface Data Management (e.g., understanding of regulatory requirements, quality management, managing subsurface data and documentation, developing robust processes and workflows).
- Competency in risk assessment and mitigation at the project level.
- Effective written communication and presentation skills to the Senior Management Team and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to create an empowered team, setting clear expectations and ensuring accountability for delivery.
- Demonstrated people management skills (performance management, resource planning, and recruitment).
