Job description

Norfolk Collegiate is seeking applicants for substitute teaching positions for the current academic year. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  1. Teaching a range of high school, middle school, and lower school classes.
  2. Proctoring study halls.
  3. Supporting the school's mission as needed.

Ideal candidates will have some teaching experience in a lower, middle, or upper school setting, and a commitment to interdisciplinary approaches to learning. We seek teachers who are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about teaching. They should have an established interest in working with students from a variety of backgrounds who possess a range of abilities and learning styles. The position requires collaborative work with other teachers and administrators. Norfolk Collegiate offers a close-knit, supportive environment and a collegial atmosphere. We welcome energetic and flexible lifelong learners who are reflective about their teaching practices and expect to collaborate, innovate, and grow as teachers and mentors.
