Apricus Resourcing are working with a leading charitable organisation who are looking for a substance misuse recovery worker for an ongoing locum role based in Slough.

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in substance misuse support, demonstrating a profound understanding of the complexities involved. Essential skills include excellent communication, empathy, and the ability to build strong, trusting relationships with clients. A background in social work, counselling, or a related field is highly desirable, along with a proven track record of working in substance misuse services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Conducting assessments
2. Developing personalised recovery plans
3. Providing one-on-one and group support sessions
4. Liaising with other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic approach to each client's recovery journey
5. Managing a diverse caseload

The role includes working Mon-Fri 9-5 with a pay rate on offer of between £20.00 - £20.55 per hour - the position is based on an ongoing locum basis that may result in a permanent role in the future.
