Description

The person appointed would be expected to:
  1. Teach a timetable based on their experience and strengths
  2. Contribute to the development of the subject
  3. Contribute to the tutorial system of the College
  4. Be sympathetic to the Mission of the College
  5. Be flexible, enthusiastic and able to motivate students to realise their full potential
  6. Contribute to other aspects of College life as appropriate
As with all other posts in the College, staff may be expected to contribute to one or more of the following:
  1. Recreational and Community Service activities
  2. Short practical courses
  3. Student Council activities
  4. Enrichment
Responsibilities
  1. To work as part of one or more curriculum team(s) undertaking specific duties after consultation with other staff in the same grouping
  2. To participate in appropriate meetings with colleagues and parents
  3. To monitor and control the storage and use of teaching materials and books related to the teaching of their subject
  4. To participate with other colleagues in the development of appropriate specifications, materials and schemes of work
  5. To supervise punctuality and attendance and to regularly submit registers to Curriculum Leaders
  6. To ensure that all students abide by the College disciplinary system
  7. To organise and invigilate such examinations as may be required
  8. To be responsible for efficient teaching programmes and for the maintenance and development of subject resources and equipment
  9. To undertake such other duties as changing circumstances may require
  10. May be required to contribute to other related subjects, Ethics and Values programme or EPQ
  11. The Governors will appoint staff who are willing and able to contribute to the Catholic ethos of the College
  12. Each member of the College will take reasonable care for the health and safety of himself/herself and persons who may be affected by his/her omissions at work
  13. To undertake any other duties as may be assigned commensurate with the grade and overall responsibility level of the post and as changing circumstances may require
