Sub Investigator - Clinical Research Physician

Job Description

Carrot Recruitment are acting as a recruitment agency sourcing a Clinical Trials Sub-Investigator to join a dynamic research team for a site in Birmingham. Currently our client are open to both applications for a full time permanent or part time (2-3 days) permanent employee.

The Role

The Sub-Investigator will be responsible for overseeing and implementing clinical research studies with a focus on patient safety and high-quality data collection and will work closely with the research team. Day to day the role will include but will not be limited to the following:

1. Assist in patient recruitment and screening for clinical trials
2. Conduct medical assessments and provide medical oversight for clinical research studies
3. Ensure strict adherence to study protocols and regulatory requirements
4. Collaborate with Principal Investigators and research coordinators to ensure seamless study execution
5. Provide medical expertise and guidance to research staff and study participants
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of clinical trial activities, including adverse events and protocol deviations

You

1. Medical Doctor (MD) degree with active medical license (GMC registered essential)
2. Recent clinical experience practising as a registered GMC doctor (essential)
3. Experience in clinical research and pharmaceutical trials (desirable)
4. Strong understanding of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulatory standards
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment
7. Able to provide a list of current clinical procedure competencies at point of application
