Job description

Sub Agent - Infrastructure

Location: Norwich, Norfolk

Purpose of the role:

As a Sub Agent, you will assist the Site Agent and Project Manager on larger value schemes, to achieve the required project delivery to the customer's objectives while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

What you will be doing:

  1. Maintain commercial performance of the contract
  2. Be responsible for the successful delivery of projects
  3. Report to the Project Manager on progress and performance.
  4. Understand and interpret drawings and specifications
  5. Ensure all site team and supply chain are working to the latest design information.
  6. Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly carried out.
  7. Provide engineering expertise and support to the project team
  8. Undertake material take offs where required and ensure materials are ordered and reconciled.
  9. Produce good quality, accurate monthly reports for the Client and internally
  10. Chair weekly Subcontractor site meetings in line with Company procedures
  11. Effectively lead and manage direct reports ensuring appropriate competence is maintained, including annual PDR's.
  12. Monitor capability of staff and contractors to undertake current and prospective workloads and report to senior management.
  13. Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site
  14. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
  15. Day to day management of a section of works including the supervision & monitoring of the site team & supply chain.
  16. Plan, control and monitor the progress of the works and coordinate the section(s) of the project as allocated.
  17. Ensure any changes in scope (operations, commercial, programme or design) are captured and managed.
  18. Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships.
