About the Job

You’ll be supporting the day to day maintenance in all aspects of the studio in order to obtain consistent high quality function of the studio space and all set builds/ set changes.

The successful candidate will act as runner to shoots, art directors and photographers, offering their support and assistance where necessary. You will be highly organised and will have a strong interest in photography set design/ set builds and thrive in a busy fast paced studio environment.

Our studio is based in North West London where we shoot model and creative still life and video assets for our brands; Lipsy, Love and Roses and Friends like these.

You will be…

  1. Managing the organisation, maintenance and storage of all props.
  2. Ordering props and equipment as needed, alongside maintaining your expenses.
  3. Demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  4. Working in partnership with the studio teams to follow art director briefs and photography lighting diagrams.
  5. Ensuring all set builds are correctly put together in a safe and efficient way.
  6. Assisting in ad hoc tasks when requested by Art Directors, Photographers and Studio Manager.
  7. Maintaining the studio sets cleanliness and tidiness.
  8. Assisting photographers with lighting setups and equipment when needed.
  9. Assisting with organising all studio equipment and sourcing the hire of any additional equipment that is required.
  10. Arranging couriers for the movement of props and product between sites where necessary.
  11. Responsible for the end to end maintenance of the seasonal sets.

Your Talent…

  1. Knowledge of set builds, materials, paints and experienced in configuring & understanding new set designs is a bonus.
  2. Experienced in manual handling and comfortable moving heavy flats.
  3. Preferable to have some carpentry experience.
  4. Previous experience in a similar role using power tools and assembling sets / props.
  5. An interest in set design / knowledge of current photographic kit and equipment (desirable).
  6. Excellent prioritisation and organisation skills, with the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  8. Has a flexible attitude and is responsive to change.
  9. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and collaboration skills.
  10. Thorough with attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed accurately.
  11. Eager to grow and develop yourself in a fast paced environment.
  12. Ability to work with autonomy and use own initiative.
  13. UK driving license (desirable).
