Student Experience
Our Student Success Coaches sit within our Student Experience team who are crucial to providing pastoral support and career advice to students to maintain student welfare. This includes providing the best experience and guidance from application, admission, through to graduation.
The Role – Student Success Coach
This is a key role within our Student Success team, each coach is responsible for supporting a case load of students throughout their academic life cycle (from enrolment to graduation) from a pastoral perspective. You will deliver proactive coaching and mentoring support via early intervention and outreach activities, and will work proactively in collaboration with colleagues to ensure the highest levels of experience are provided for onboarding, personalised advice, guidance and customer service in the area of student services and wellbeing support, signposting to specialist services as required.
About You:
You will need experience of coaching/mentoring students or customers to meet their own goals and achieve. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, along with demonstrating empathy, being able to manage expectations and inspire others, and able to relate to people from a wide range of different backgrounds. Experience of working in Higher Education is beneficial for this role; coaching and/or counselling skills training would be an advantage as well.
