The Children's 0-5 Service delivers the Healthy Child Programme and improves public health outcomes. An exciting opportunity has arisen to sponsor highly motivated qualified nurses interested in undertaking the MSc/PGDip Public Health HV -SCPHN Programme (Health Visitor- Specialist Community Public Health Nurse programme).
Students must be currently registered with the NMC as a Midwife or Nurse in any field of nursing including adult, child, learning disability or mental health. Are you passionate about public health and early intervention? At Homerton Healthcare we offer excellent training and support throughout the programme. This course is full time and fully funded. We work in partnership with City of London University to deliver this training which is 50% academic and 50% Practical Placement within the Community (Hackney and City of London).
Applicants will have a second or above (2:2) classification honours degree in a relevant subject from an approved higher education institution. Clinically experienced health professionals without a degree who have evidence of master's level CPPD (Level 7) study undertaken within the last 5 years will also be considered. The post holder will undertake the required study with the affiliated university achieving outcomes in both practice and university-based learning. They will be required to work within the community setting, facilitated by the Practice assessor/supervisor. The post holder is expected to work towards gaining the standards of proficiency for entry to the NMC register/recordable for Specialist Community Practitioner.
