Role: Structural Technician
Location: Durham
Salary: Up to £35,000 depending on experience

Our client is a well-established Civil and Structural Consultancy based in Durham working across all sectors. Their growing and demanding workload dictates the need for a talented Structural Technician in the Durham office. They offer the opportunity for further training and advancement opportunities for a Structural Technician looking for a long-term move.

They seek a candidate with the following attributes:

1. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
2. Strong problem-solving skills.
3. Act with integrity and due diligence.
4. The ability to work as part of a team both collaboratively and cooperatively.
5. Proven experience in the use of CAD to produce structural engineering drawings including details in concrete, masonry, steelwork, and timber.
6. Manage and document control incoming/outgoing models & drawing information.
7. Manage their workload and be accountable for ensuring that deliverables are of the necessary quality expected of them.
8. Ability to prepare models, drawings, and details fit for purpose.
9. Proficient with AutoCAD, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
10. The ability to respond quickly to changing circumstances whilst maintaining a clear view of overall priorities.
11. The ability to work under pressure and ensure deadlines are met whilst delivering high-quality work.
12. The ability to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and clients.

Desirable Skills and Interests:

1. Project delivery and attention to detail.
2. Design coordination.
3. Knowledge and experience of BIM authoring applications such as Revit.
4. Reinforced Concrete Detailing.
5. Experience in Civil 3D (but not essential).
6. Highways and drainage experience.
7. An interest in achieving IStructE/ICE & gaining EngTech status.

Preferred Qualifications: Relevant qualification such as HNC or HND.
