Structural Technician

Job Description

Are you an experienced structural technician with both AutoCAD and Revit experience looking for a new role in the Cheltenham area? We are currently seeking to recruit an experienced Technician. Individuals can expect to take responsibility for the design and coordination of technical tasks. This role is with an established civil and structural engineering consultancy with close ties to the IStructE and ICE, this connection presents huge opportunity to technical members of the team. Projects are diverse and challenging ranging from bespoke grand designs to £30m battery storage facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Working with the Engineers Technicians to produce scheme drawings for building structures
• Production of CAD general arrangement, Revit models, substructure, superstructure, concrete outlines, steelwork drawings.
• Producing RC detail drawings, production of schedules and checking (not essential)
• Liaison with other parties including architects and contractors
• Using engineering judgement and knowledge to assist with scheme design.

Essential Skills

• Experience predominately working with AutoCAD and Revit producing drawings using sound engineering judgement and a pragmatic approach.
• Methodical, accurate and meticulous in attitude to work
• Good interpersonal skills / Team player

Desirable Skills

• Building Structures experience
• Seeking to obtain an EngTech status with a professional body, i.e. ICE or IStructE
