Job description

A new Structural Technician role has arisen with my Client in Birmingham. There has never been a more exciting time to join my Client's company, with the development of a new Team and Department of skilled and highly experienced engineering professionals already in place and expanding! Offering centrally located offices, hybrid working arrangements and a healthy pipeline of work and projects to be involved in as a Structural Technician.

My Client is on the lookout for a talented Structural Technician to work on a range of projects across the broad residential sector (housing, apartments, mid-rise, retirement) as well as other design schemes set across the Structural Engineering sector.

Skills

1. Knowledge of concrete, steel and load-bearing masonry and timber structures
2. Ability to review and implement site investigation reports, NHBC guidelines, Building Regulations, LABC and BRE etc.
3. Attend Design team Meetings
4. Attend site to review issues if and when required
5. Undertaking of structural drawings and details including RC Detailing

Software:

1. AutoCAD
2. CADS RC
3. Revit - Not essential to success in the role but beneficial
4. Word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam
