Structural Design Engineer

We are looking for a Structural Design Engineer to join our clients' team based in their Rutherglen office.

The candidate will be responsible for:

1. Preparing all H&S documentation as necessary.
2. Undertaking tower analysis and re-analysis of existing models.
3. Building and analysing structures with MS Tower.
4. Designing and reviewing strengthening designs, and approving straightforward schemes.
5. Carrying out bespoke designs including hand calculations and appraisals.
6. Acting as lead engineer on project-related work, ensuring health and safety and site work are delivered to the highest standard.
7. Running projects completely (technical, planning, and commercial).
8. Project cost control, ensuring that the projects you are tasked with are kept within an appropriate budget, maximising profit where possible.

Candidate must have a minimum of two years of experience, preferably in the telecommunications sector, with experience of MS Tower or equivalent. A hard-working and motivated individual keen to be part of a dynamic and expanding team. The candidate should also possess:

1. Ability to manage own workload effectively.
2. Ability to plan and programme works.
3. Knowledge of H&S requirements of projects.
4. Ability to identify and suggest process improvements.
5. Ability to communicate accurately, concisely, and with confidence at all levels.
