Structural CAD Technician

A Worle, Weston super Mare, Bristol structural engineering design firm is looking to recruit a Structural Technician / Structural CAD Technician to join the team. The Structural Technician / Structural CAD Technician will work on commercial, residential, and public sector projects. This is a full-time, permanent position for a Structural Technician who could progress to CAD Manager / Drawing Office Manager / Associate Director in the future.

The role involves liaising with the Associate Director and Director in managing a team of both senior and junior technicians. The day-to-day tasks include detailing and drafting reinforced concrete structures, creating structural drawings, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in RC detailing and structural drafting
• Experience in creating structural drawings
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards
• Ability to collaborate with engineers and contractors
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy

Technical Skills

• Work experience with AutoCAD
• Work experience with RC detailing
• Work experience with CADS RC

The salary for the Structural Technician / Structural CAD Technician is £30-40k. This is a fantastic career opportunity to progress through the ranks into Associate Director.
