Job description

Position: Stress Engineer

Pay rate: £52.00 p/h inside IR35.

Location: Broughton, Onsite

Role Type: Contract until Dec 2025 with an extension

iO Associates is currently seeking a Stress Engineer to join the team at the Broughton site.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a world-class aerospace organisation known for its impact across commercial and military aviation, rotorcraft, defence, and space exploration. You'll play a key role in pioneering projects, working alongside a forward-thinking and supportive team committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation in the aerospace and space sectors.

Responsibilities
  • Skilled in analyzing and validating metallic, composite, and hybrid structures at the component level for static strength and fatigue & damage tolerance (F&DT), delivering accurate strength margins or reserve factors in line with validated methods and industry-standard sizing procedures.
  • Proficient in performing stress analyses to support the repair and acceptance of metallic, composite, and hybrid structures.
  • Ensure compliance with airworthiness regulations and structural integrity requirements for aircraft components.
Skills
  • Ideally has previously held T400 Concessions Approval.
  • Open to candidates without formal approval, provided they have relevant experience in stress analysis and/or concessions.
  • Experience with other aircraft platforms, including military aircraft or related product knowledge, is highly desirable.
