This role sits within the Strategic Remediation and Control Office (SRCO), which leads Transformation and Remediation at Deutsche Bank. SRCO leads oversight of programs which contribute to the uplift of the Firm’s capabilities across multiple lines of defence working in partnership with global Businesses, Risk, Compliance, Technology, and Audit. This ensures alignment of the portfolio of projects remains within groupwide strategic priorities and are successfully implemented to achieve the intended benefit and outcomes. Insights produced are critical to ensuring successful closure of project plans. Joining this team will give you the opportunity to be at the heart of the Bank’s transformation, driving improvements front to back, building relationships with key stakeholders, delivering tangible value, and meeting regulatory expectations, positioning the Firm for ongoing success. You will be joining the Financial Crimes and Compliance change assurance team.

Your key responsibilities:
- Ensure effective and sustainable outcomes are met from remediation plans through controls outcome quality review and question, and closure advocacy of findings.
- Identify issues impacting business and operations under review, challenging management to ensure appropriate remedial actions are taken.
- Act as subject matter expert for financial crime related matters.
- Execute against a global framework for enhanced review and questioning of remediation delivery and outcomes, including testing capability aligned to regulatory expectations and criteria for scope of application.
- Ensure capability and capacity metrics are in place to deliver within mandate, and support lessons learnt and root cause review.
- Train the organization on “what good looks like.”
Your skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably with a focus on economics or business or equivalent experience.
- Ideally have completed a recognized relevant post-graduate qualification (e.g. CIA, CMIIA, CAMS).
- Experience working in financial services, within Third Line Internal Audit or Second Line Risk or Compliance Monitoring.
- Strong financial crime risk and control mindset.
- Self-starter with a high degree of self-support and strong communication, influencing skills and confidence in communicating with stakeholders.
- Experience in establishing and review and challenge frameworks with a compliance focus.
