Strategic Procurement Manager – Glasgow (Hybrid Working)

Embrace Talent is delighted to support a leading global manufacturing and service provider in recruiting a strategic procurement manager. This exciting new role, reporting directly to the Head of Supply Chain and Procurement, has been created due to significant departmental growth following multiple major contract wins.

We are looking for a highly experienced procurement professional, ideally with a background in manufacturing, construction, or a similar sector.

Key Areas of Expertise:

  1. Experience managing complex procurement projects, with a particular focus on services.
  2. Proven ability to generate and analyse data to identify root causes and inform robust business decisions.
  3. Strong understanding of contract terms and conditions, including handling flow-down terms from customer contracts and drafting subcontract terms.
  4. Solid knowledge of supplier performance management, including developing and implementing supply agreements.
  5. Delivery-focused, practical, and hands-on approach to effectively implement initiatives.
  6. Proven ability to collaborate closely with senior stakeholders and other business units within a fast-paced operational environment.
  7. Regularly provide senior management with updates on supply chain performance, risks, and opportunities.
  8. Manage and mitigate supply chain risks, including supply disruptions, quality concerns, and supplier capacity issues.

Education & Professional Qualifications:

MCIPS or equivalent professional qualification and/or degree-qualified or equivalent.
