Strategic Finance Business Partner
Starting salary up to £60594 per annum
Based at King’s Court Council Offices
Are you looking to develop your strategic finance, income and spend control and team management skills at a time of service investment and transformation?
Working together with the other Strategic Finance Business Partner you will lead and develop a team of dedicated Senior Finance Business Partners, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. With a busy and varied remit, you will be the senior manager responsible for the banking, accounts payable and receivable teams whilst also providing analytical support to the budget monitoring and setting process. The business partnering role will provide a comprehensive accountancy and financial management service to officers of the Council, Executive Councillors. The role also shares responsibility for the annual closure of the Council’s accounts in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards.
You will be a fully qualified accountant with proven post qualification experience in public sector finance, and knowledge of relevant accounting regulations and practices. You must be able to demonstrate knowledge of and skills in accounting software as used by complex organisations and IT packages including experience of Excel and Word. As an experienced and effective manager, you will ensure the delivery of key accounting functions to a high standard and to tight deadlines.
