Job description

Holt Engineering have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Stores Person to join our client in Christchurch. You will be working within a busy stores and factory environment as a key member of the team.

The position is working Monday to Friday 6am-6pm, so own transport would be ideal. A Counterbalance/Bendi Forklift licence would be desirable; however, they would also be willing to train.

The position is temporary to permanent with an hourly rate of £13.15ph to start.

Main duties for the successful Stores Person:

1. Book goods and raw materials in, allocating to correct areas of the warehouse.
2. Issue stock to the shop floor, updating the ERP system accurately.
3. Ensure the shop floor has enough materials to carry out tasks for the shift as well as assist with the preparing of the machines.
4. Maintain accurate records.
5. Quality check all incoming and outgoing goods, ensuring parts and finished products are packaged and labelled correctly.
6. Maintain a clean and tidy work environment at all times.

To be considered for the Stores Person position:

1. Previous experience within a stores/warehouse role is essential.
2. Bendi/Pivot Steer, Counterbalance, or Scissorlift licence would be advantageous.
3. Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
4. Experience supporting production/factory floor.
