Stores Operator / Counterbalance Forklift Driver

Job description

Search Consultancy require an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to work for our client based in Bishopbriggs Glasgow. This position is on a temp to perm basis working full time hours.

Main duties will include:

1. Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and products
2. Transport materials to designated areas within the warehouse or production facility
3. Stack and organise products and materials in an efficient and safe manner
4. Perform routine maintenance on forklifts, such as inspecting for any damages or malfunctions
5. Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
6. Assist with inventory management by accurately recording materials and products moved

Qualifications:

1. Valid forklift operator certification or license
2. Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or production
3. Strong knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines for forklift operation
4. Ability to read and interpret documents such as work orders, safety rules, and operating instructions
5. Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness to manoeuvre the forklift in tight spaces
6. Physical stamina to withstand long periods of sitting, standing, and operating the forklift
7. Attention to detail to accurately record inventory information
8. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members
