Job description

Position: Hardware Coordinator
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £30,000 per annum
Shift: Day Shift - 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

CDM are currently recruiting a proactive and detail-oriented Hardware Coordinator to join our clients team in Newcastle. This role is vital to the effective storage, movement, and control of hardware within operations, ensuring all hardware and project-related items are properly tracked and delivered on time.

As the Hardware Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing the storage and movement of hardware from delivery to site, ensuring timely dispatch and resolution of any issues that may arise. You'll be working closely with multiple departments and external logistics partners to ensure smooth operations.

Main Duties:
  1. Central Point of Contact: Serve as the primary point of contact for all hardware and project-related items held in inventory.
  2. System Control: Ensure all hardware and project items are accurately tracked through the system, recording receipts, locations, and issuing items according to cost control requirements.
  3. Storage Management: Ensure all hardware is stored according to department principles and procedures. Liaise with third-party logistics companies to organize the transfer and storage of overspill hardware.
  4. Material Transfer Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the transfer of materials to other sites.
  5. Loadout Support: Assist the Project Department in creating load-out packing lists. Organise hardware and ancillary items for load-out, including logging part numbers, serial numbers, weights, sizes of crates, and packing containers.
  6. General Stores Support: Provide general support to the Stores department as required by the Stores Supervisor.
Key Requirements:
  1. Qualification or Experience: NVQ Level 2 in Stores & Warehousing, or at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  2. IT Skills: Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Communication & Coordination: Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with multiple departments.
  4. Proactive & Solution-Oriented: Ability to highlight issues and work proactively to resolve them.
  5. Attention to Detail: Precision in tracking inventory and managing project-related items.
