Stores Coordinator Beckton £26,000 - £28,000 per annum Pin Point Recruitment are looking for a Stores Coordinator for a manufacturing company based in Beckton.
Job Role:
Stock Control: Liaise daily with Production on priorities and discuss the plan for the day. When larger orders come in, adjust the Production list and speak with the Manager/Senior. Keep an eye on stock levels throughout the day; depending on material availability, add to requirements.
Allocations: Allocate orders and process on hub when available (once paid). Gold orders will be passed to Metal Accounts for the Customer Vault, and Silver will be placed in the Silver Storage with the storage spreadsheet updated. Remove items from storage when sold back and return to stock. Update hub. If items are no longer good quality for stock, scrap these and advise metal accounts to do the relevant stock movements.
Making alloys: Prepare alloys for Production using Company recipes.
Dispatch: Raise dispatch notes for customer collections.
Scrap Management: Check through scrap received from Hatton Garden, report any discrepancies, book scrap in, and process as per scrap metal melts.
Purchases: Check through purchases from Sales, advise Accounts of any discrepancies, stock, or scrap items.
Scrap Bar Processing: Process scrap bar batches for Chlorination/high grade for the Refinery, complete paperwork, and record results in hub.
Receiving Metals: Receive and weigh in gold/silver grain, provide lab samples, and enter onto hub.
Bullion Bar Labelling: Ensure proper labelling of bullion bars.
Order Preparation: Prepare paperwork, labels, and packaging for larger customer orders for collection (e.g., Royal Mint).
Security: Open one lock on the main vault door only. Shut and lock the vault door at the end of the day (if not requested to leave open when drivers are not back and they have items on board). Unlock and lock internal safes at the start/end of the day (keys).
Telephone Enquiries: Handle telephone enquiries related to post/stock.
Stores Coordinator Skills Required:
Must have previously worked in a manufacturing stores environment.
Experience with gold or precious metals is a distinct advantage.
Stock Control & Inventory Management: Ability to monitor stock levels, allocate resources efficiently, and update records.
Manufacturing & Production Knowledge: Understanding of production processes and material requirements.
Data Entry & Record Keeping: Experience using stock management systems for tracking inventory.
Metals & Alloys Handling: Knowledge of working with gold, silver, and other metals, including processing scrap metal.
Dispatch & Logistics: Experience in preparing dispatch notes, labels, and packaging for customer collections.
Security & Compliance: Awareness of handling high-value materials securely and following company security protocols.
Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook): Proficiency in spreadsheets, data entry, and communication tools.
Basic Accounting Knowledge: Understanding stock valuation and reporting discrepancies to Accounts.
