Customer Team Member

Location: 9 High Street, Thornbury, Bristol, BS35 2AE

Pay: £12.30 per hour

Contract: 12 hours per week + regular overtime, permanent, part time

Working pattern: 9am to 5:30pm, Monday - Friday, 9am to 1pm, Saturday. This role will include work on our Post Office Counters.

Full, paid training provided. You must be aged 18 or over to be a customer team member at Co-op, as it requires working before 6am or after 10pm.

We’re looking for Customer Team Members to join our team at Co-op. As a Customer Team Member, you’ll be part of a friendly team that’s dedicated to helping our customers. We’ll look to you to provide them with great service on the tills and the shop floor, while also performing a wide range of other tasks around the store like re-stocking shelves and cleaning up spillages.

What you'll do
  • Friendly and thoughtful service – you’ll put customers first in everything you do: responding to queries, championing Co-op products and Membership, support with tasks on the post office counter, and doing all you can to deliver a great shopping experience.
  • Work together to make everyone's day better – supporting your store colleagues to solve problems for customers and members.
  • Make sure the store is safe and legal – keep the shelves stocked and make sure prices, dates, and temperatures are all as they should be.
  • Help introduce new products and services – make changes feel natural, sharing experiences with your colleagues so everyone learns together.
  • Support your local community – get involved in all kinds of activities and events!
